1. Can any problem be addressed?
Yes, most. The majority of DIS-EASES are because there is an energy imbalance. We are treating this imbalance of energy. Since energy is everywhere, we don't need to reach the affected part. For example, if there is a back pain, we don't even touch the back!!
2. Is the treatment guaranteed to cure?
Like any other treatment, results can vary. However, we genuinely try to help.
3. How long is the treatment?
Again, like other treatments, the length of treatment varies according to the problem.
4. Is the treatment painful?
With acupressure, the relevant energy points in hand and feet will cause some pain when stimulated meaning that there is a corresponding health issue. However the pain is not severe. Healthy points do not give any sense of pain.
5. What is the duration of one seating?
The first consultation would be of about 1 hour, as details have to be taken, and treatment discussed. An average sitting is either half an hour or longer, depending on the problem.
6. Are home visits possible?
In exceptional cases, this may be considered.
7. What information is required from the patient?
Since the treatment is to help you as a whole, the more you can tell us, the better the help.
8. What do I need to bring?
During the first visit, you will need to give as much information as possible. Medical history, and details of treatments taken are very helpful. For emotional issues, you may bring a mat for relaxation, if you prefer your own. In acupressure, some points may be taped with ‘seeds’ on your hands/feet for stimulation. These need to be left for many hours. Hence, you may also bring a pair of gloves to cover your hands if you do not want others to see the treatment tapes.
9. Are there any side effects?
No. Since no medicines are administered, this question does not arise.
10. Are there any restrictions?
Regretfully, we cannot treat the following ‘patients’ as their response cannot be gauged: Infants, People prone to violence, People on drugs, Mentally very disturbed, Very weak, Fluctuating diabetics.
11. Do I have to undress?
In most case the treatment is carried out on energy points in hands and / or feet; hence the need to undress is not there. In case a supplementary massage is required, it would help to have only very light clothing.
12. Can I continue my current treatments?
This is a decision you have to take.
13. Do I need to inform my doctor?
We have no objection if you want to inform your doctor.
14. Can I just come for consultation before deciding for a treatment?
Yes you can.
15. How do I pay?
By cash please, as there is no facility to accept cards.
16. What about fees?
These vary depending upon the problem. As a guide, the initial charge would be £50 for time up to one hour. Subsequent charge would generally be less but depends on treatment and time required.
